Deadline of the Message Management System was postponed

The Regulation on the Amendment to the Regulation on Commercial Communication and Commercial Electronic Messages (“Regulation”) entered into force through publication in the Official Gazette dated 28.08.2020 and numbered 31227.

The deadline to upload previously obtained opt-in consents to the Message Management System (“IYS”) by the service providers was determined as 31.08.2020. Through the Regulation, this deadline is postponed until 01.12.2020. Furthermore, it was regulated that the consents transferred to the IYS could be checked by the recipients until 16.01.2021. Commercial electronic messages sent after the end of this period are considered approved.
