Legislation Incentivizing the Use of Green Cement in Public Sector Will Enter Into Force on 01.01.2025
The Communiqué on the Widespread Use of Green Cement with Low Carbon Emissions in Public Procurement Contracts (Communiqué) is published in the Official Gazette dated 16.03.2024 and numbered 32491. The Communiqué will enter into force on 01.01.2025. According to the Communiqué, to encourage the use of green cement, which stands out with its environmental sustainability and technical superiority;
- Between 01.01.2025 and 31.12.2029, the clinker/cement ratio of cement to be used in public works contracts and tenders for the procurement of goods containing cement will be a maximum of 0.80,
- As of 01.01.2030, the clinker/cement ratio for cement to be used in public works contracts and tenders for the procurement of goods containing cement will be limited to a maximum of 0.75.
